ACTIVITIES

Mondays
- Duplicate Bridge 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
- Rummikub - 9:00 am - Frisbie
- AARP Tax Aide 9AM to Noon – Tax Help for those 55 and older at PL location, must call 847-391-5717 for appointment
- Line Dancing - Mondays - 1:30pm. - 2:30pm. You don’t need a partner to do your thing. Members $3.00 ~ Non-members $3.50 At the Senior Center. Please! No black rubber heels...they mar the floor. Instructor: Chuck Jaworski
- Note-A-Bles - Mondays - 11:00am. ‘till ? Our Choral Group is always looking for voices. Nelson Eddy or Jeannette McDonald could help but they have joined the angels’ chorus, so you are welcome.
- Pinochle - 12:15 to 3:00 pm
- Woodcarving - Mondays - 9:00am. - 12:00pm. You’re never too old to learn a new art form. Classes are walk-in and free. A highlight is the monthly get-together at a local restaurant.
- Big Band - 7 pm Stroll down memory lane and, if you choose, "Move to the Music". This is a practice evening for the band and a wonderful night for all who attend.
- My Medicate Matters - By appt only – Dennis Rosa will lead you through 5 Medicare websites so you can search the websites for the answers to questions you might have.
Tuesdays
- Bridge - Social - 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
- Ping Pong - 8:30 am
- Arts & Crafts - 10 am
- Computer Lab Open - Tuesdays - 9:00am. - 12:00 Only a $1 charge. The Computer Lab is now open every Tuesday for your use from 9:00am until noon. It’s an opportunity to use a computer if you don’t have one at home. Just stop by the front desk, sign in, pay your dollar and enjoy
- Peoples Poker - 1:00 to 3:00 pm

- Quilting Group - 1:00 pm
- Move it or Lose It 1PM – A class to focus on strengthening, stretching, and balance exercise ability and can even be done in a chair!
- Juggling 10:30AM – Bill Philips will teach the basics of juggling. This exercise is great for balance. $2 members, $3 non-members
- Senior Citizen Police Academy 10AM – Wednesdays March 5- April 23 – 8 week class that will teach you all about law enforcement and the role of the Des Plaines Police.
Thursdays
- Issues In The News - Thursdays - 10:00am. - 11:30am. An opportunity to voice your opinions.
- Senior Exercise Group - Thursdays - 11:00am. - 12:00 Get back to or stay in shape for only Members $3.50 ~ Non-members $4.00.
- Bridge – Social - 12:30 to 3:00 pm
- Tai Chi - 9 am - If slow flowing movements and a total body workout are of interest to you, then you will enjoy Tai Chi. Learn the art and health benefits of Tai Chi. Bob Swanson, a certified Tai Chi instructor, will teach this serene course.
Fridays
- ARTS & Crafts - Fridays - 1:00pm. - 3:00pm. An opportunity to show your talents or learn about crafts. Items made are sold in the lobby.
- CA$H Bingo - Fridays - 2nd & 4th 1:00pm. - 3:00pm. Only $1 for the first card. How much better can it get?
- Armchair Travels - 2nd Friday ~ 10:30 am
- Magic of the Movies - 4th Friday – 10:30 am
- Round Dancing - Beginners ~ Fridays - 9:30am. - 10:30am. Regular ~ Fridays - 10:30am. - 12:00 Round dancing is pleasure set to music. Come and enjoy. Members $4.00, beginners or regulars - Non-members $4.50 .
- Veterans’ Round Table - Every 4th Friday - 10:00am.-‘till ? Veterans of all wars and all branches of service are invited. Only cost is a donation in the ‘Thank You’ can for coffee and. . .
- Take Charge of Your Health 9:30AM to Noon – Interactive program that will teach you about coping with pain and fatigue, exercising to improve strength and flexibility, how to use medication, and many other important health issues
