DAN DUDYCH Receives Sheriff’s Senior Medal of Honor
On April 21st, Dan Dudych received the ‘Sheriff’s Senior Medal of Honor.’ Presented by Sheriff Michael Sheahan, the honor is awarded for outstanding spirit of volunteerism and showing an exceptional commitment to serving others.
Dan is very deserving and we agree with the Sheriff wholeheartedly.
A TRUE Volunteer!
Lee Boike, one of our newer members, was so impressed with what the Senior Center had to offer that he asked for 40 Senior ADVISORS, attached the following note to them, and passed them out to all the residents in his condo.

Hi Neighbor:
Lee Boike here! Finally awakened at 83 years of age. I have been enlightened about what a TERRIFIC Senior Center Community we have in Des Plaines. One of the best in Illinois ! ! !
Attached please find the Senior Advisor. This is a monthly publication of more activities than one could imagine. This publication focuses on OUR interests. Anyone 55 years or older is welcome to join. And, we hope you do! !
Please come and see what we’re all about.
Your friend and neighbor, Lee Boike

CONGRATULATIONS
to Edith Staabs (left) on her award from Age Options (formerly the
Suburban Area Agency on Aging) for the outstanding volunteer work she does at the Senior Center and Mather's Café.
