Resource Center at Frisbie Senior Center 2nd & 4th Thursday, 9 am - 3 pm 4th Monday, 9 am - 12 Noon Joyce Graczyk, with the Council for Jewish Elderly, will be at the Frisbie Senior Center the 2nd & 4th Thursday , 9 am - 3 pm, and 4th Monday, 9 am - 12 noon, of each month to help you with all your resource needs. From Circuit Breakers to new topics such as Medicare Part D, Joyce is willing to help you find the answers you will need. This program is open to all seniors. Please call for an appointment at 847-768-5944. Joyce L. Graczyk received her Bachelor in Human Services from Judson College , she has been with the Council for Jewish Elderly as a research assistant, Coordinator of the Crime Victim/Witness Assistance Program and now is a Resource Specialist for Suburban Outreach to the N/NW Suburbs. Her passion for educating the community to the tragedy of Elder Abuse/Domestic Violence has grown since working with senior clients who had been victims. In 2005 she was a presenter at the JWI International Conference in Washington, D.C., the research that resulted from that presentation has encouraged her to promote other programming on Domestic Violence and Elder abuse including a joint effort with the 20th Chicago Police District’s Subcommittee on Domestic Violence and hosting a Chicago Department on aging program for the North East Provider Meeting at Council for Jewish Elderly in March. In her new position she is also a member of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Second Municipal District’s Domestic Violence Initiative. |
