The Des Plaines Community & Frisbie Senior Center is volunteer-based and we depend on you to succeed. We need volunteers in many areas and ask that you take a few minutes to consider giving of your time and talents. If you have any questions or would like to find out more about volunteer opportunities, please contact our Volunteer Manager, Megann Koonce-Panek 847-391-5944 ext.226. Below are some volunteer opportunities available. Special Events & Programs FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST - Four hours weekly, your choice of time between 8:30 am - 12:30 p.m. or 12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m. Need to be able to assist in Medical Rental Closet. Courtesy is a must. ADVISOR Collating Frisbie Library Taste of Des Plaines 4 hours or less · Meat & Eat Program · Computer Help · Receptionist · Greeter More than 4 hours · Office Help · Newsletter Editing/Writing · Teaching a Class · Photographer · Cumberland Café Cashiers - Your Cumberland Café needs your help! If you love to be around people, this is the volunteer position for you. We are looking for a few individuals to work the cash register from 8:30AM to 2:30PM. You will be trained by a staff member. Various Needs ERRANDS FUNDRAISING VOLUNTEERS SPECIAL EVENTS TRANSLATORS (SPANISH, RUSSIAN, ETC.) ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE CLERK PHOTOGRAPHER COMPUTER LAB ASSISTANTS COMPUTER GURUS - Instructors (Word, Excel, Windows, Digital Photography) COMPUTER LITERATE HELP - Wanted ~ someone familiar with desktop publishing, such as Print Artist, Publisher, or any other, to do posters, signs, bulletins, etc. Please see or call Megann Koonce-Panek 847-391-5944 ext.226.
