When longtime C.E.O. Sharon Smith announced her decision to step down last June, the Board of Directors initiated a nationwide search for her successor. And, after 6 months, it turns out the best candidate for the job comes from within our own organization.

      Ron Buch retired in January after 33 years at Northwest Community Hospital (where he served in various positions) most notably as Executive Director of Community Health and Outreach. He was a member of the Senior Center’s Governance Board of Directors and chaired both the Golf Classic and Board Development committees during his tenure.

      Ron brings a wealth of Human Services knowledge, as well as extensive executive leadership experience to his new position and expressed his appreciation to the board for selecting him to succeed Sharon.
